Ontario Asparagus + Ribs

Sometimes the best meals are the simplest. Tender Ontario asparagus + your favourite protein on the grill + an easy carb equals a fast, tasty dinner that's restaurant worthy!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ontario asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp oil of choice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Add to your favourite protein, try ribs, burgers, chicken, steak, porkchops, seafood, etc. Cooked rice, potatoes, garlic bread - or favourite carb.

Instructions
 

Grilled Asparagus

  • Toss asparagus with oil and salt.
  • Brush grill lightly with oil.
  • Grill over high heat for 3–4 minutes, turning occasionally, until lightly charred and fork tender.

Pan-fried Asparagus

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add asparagus and season with salt.
  • Cook for approx. 5 minutes, turning occasionally, until tender-crisp and lightly browned.
