Pizza night gets a seasonal upgrade with Ontario asparagus. Paired with tender chicken, melted cheese, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, this easy pizza comes together quickly using store-bought pizza dough.
8-12spears Ontario asparagus, trimmed. Shave with vegetable peeler or cut into 2-inch pieces
Salt and pepper, to taste
½cuppizza sauce
1 ½cupsmozzarella cheese, shredded
1cupcooked chicken breast, sliced or shredded
2tbspbalsamic glaze
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C).
Roll or stretch pizza dough into a 12-inch circle and place on a pizza pan or baking sheet.
Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edge.
Top with mozzarella cheese, chicken, and asparagus.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
Garnish with fresh parsley, slice, and serve.

Tip: Rotisserie chicken is a great shortcut and makes this pizza even easier to pull together on a busy weeknight. You can also just add chicken and asparagus to a Frozen pizza to elevate it into something special.
